On the weekend after my 20th birthday, one of my best friends surprised me with a trip to a theme park that I love so much, but haven’t been able to go to for a long time… WILD ADVENTURES THEME PARK! I honestly had no idea. She, her family, and my family were all in on it and I really had no clue whatsoever (which is why I ran around the park yelling, “I HAD NO IDEA!”). They really did get me good and I was and still am so grateful for it (so, a big THANKS to M.E.!).
So, there was a concert going on that day in the park and it just so happened to actually be someone who I’m a fair-sized fan of, Corbin Bleu! That guy is awesome! And he really did deliver a great performance. I’d never really heard any of his songs except for the ones that everyone knows, “Deal With It”, “Run It Back Again”, and, of course “Push It To The Limit”. I meant to get his CD when it came out forever ago, along with Ashley Tisdale’s, but something came up and it just kept on slipping my mind. But, I must say… he has some really nice songs and it made me wish that I’d already had his CD. There was this one song that stood out to me in particular called “Never Met A Girl Like You”. Why did it stick to my brain so much? Well, because the lyrics are basically everything that I want a guy to like me for. The guy in the song is saying that he likes the girl because she’s silly and is herself no matter what anyone else thinks. Usually, with me, those things are a HUGE turn-off. But, to this guy (in the song), it’s what made him like her more. The only thing that I don’t like about the song is that it gives me false-hope that there’s someone out there who will truly like me for all of those things.
Here are the lyrics:
You are individual, never typical
Everything you do, you do your own way
Letting down your hair, made me stop and stare
Very first time I saw your face
The way you smile, you got a style
And it shows you’ve got it goin’ on
How you walk, the way you talk
You gotta know you’re everything I want
Never met a girl like you, so amazing
Every little thing you do gets me every time
Never met a girl like you, you drive me crazy
You’re the only one I think about day and night
Never met a girl like you
That way you
Way you like to play, flirt and run away
Everything you do, so unique
Silly way you dance, don’t you hold back
Use your attitude, be who you wanna be
You’re the girl, flipped my world
You call me up and leave some crazy message
Eight o’clock, heard you knock
Woke me up, made me wear PJ’s to breakfast
Never met a girl like you, so amazing
Every little thing you do gets me every time
Never met a girl like you, you drive me crazy
You’re the only one I think about
The way you keep it chill with looks that kill
It’s a vibe that’s all your own
The way you hear your song and sing along
Silly ring tones on your cell phone
How you like to laugh every chance
And the way you say my name
You’re unusual, original
In every single way
Now, I’m not sure who wrote the song (although I have searched and searched, high and low, time and time, over and over), but whoever it is described me to the TEE! I am SO the girl in that song! Only difference is that she found someone who likes her for every little bit of who she is. When someone likes you for all of those little things, it makes you want to give them extra and do more for them.
Well, thanks a lot Mr. Bleu! You will forever be the reason that I’ll be looking for someone to like me for every aspect of me, and all of the silliness that comes along.
Seriously, I love this song. I think Corbin is a great guy. He seems to be a really good role model for kids and even older people to have, myself included. He does Corbin no matter what, and I think that’s absolutely awesome! He knows who he is, for the most part, and he’s comfortable with that. I admire that a lot especially with him being 19. Kudos to you, Corbin!

So, I posted the blog “Never Met A Girl Like You (Me)”, right? Well, guess what! This one is just like that one! Crazy, I know! I don’t know what it is about Corbin Bleu and singing songs that have everything to do with me. Haha! Well, this song is called “She Could Be” and the girl in this song is also, sooooo me! He also performed this song at the concert.
As I said before, it ticks me off to hear it because the girl in the song has someone who likes her for this stuff. I actually used to think of my life as being a song (really, more like a musical), but I’m having second thoughts. If my life were really a musical, this song would fit perfectly, but it doesn’t because that guy doesn’t exist (or does he?). I don’t know. I sound really confused, so… here are the lyrics (LOL!):
She comes inside
Been playing football with the guys
She’s all high fives
And dirty footprints on the floor
Next thing I know,
She’s hanging out
She’s got her dress and high heels on
And we’re alone, I couldn’t ask for nothing more
And I love
(I love the way)
A simple smiles reveals it all
She calls my name…
She could be all I’m ever gonna need
She’s like a beauty queen
In just her t-shirt and her jeans
She could be just the one I’ve waited for
Could be a perfect score and more
She could be, She could be, She could be
It’s Friday night
And her friends are home by nine
We hit the show, tip the bouncer, skip the line
Next thing I know, we’re out the door
And now she’s dancing in the rain, a fragile flame
Under the pale blue colored light
Oh, I love the way
This girl is not afraid to fall
She calls my name…
(She’s callin’ out to me)
That one in a hundred million
A secret the world’s been keeping
The music that keeps repeating,
Keeps repeating inside your mind
Like an angel on your shoulder
That makes your colors bolder than you dare
And you want to take her everywhere
*sigh* Oh well… Mix up those two songs (“She Could Be” and “Never Met A Girl Like You”) and DOGGONIT! You’ve got… ME! ![]()
Annnnnnnyway… I just thought I’d share that with you.

Well, the holidays are now amongst us and I am oh-so excited! I live for this time of the year. It’s the spirit of giving and the love of family that seems so much more abundant right now. It usually dies down (though it shouldn’t) right after, so I try to enjoy it as much as I possibly can. This year, I plan to make the Holidays very special for myself and for those I love (and possibly those I don’t even know).
When I was younger, my dad would have to force me to stop playing Christmas music in June. Well, I still play Christmas music year-round, but I do it when no one is around (for some reason, people don’t find this to be ‘normal’). I know just about every Christmas song there is to know (well, traditional) and some!
So! To everyone that I know, get ready to have a very Happy Holiday this year! (and you know how wacky I am, so just imagine what’s up my sleeve!)

So! Being a person who loves to read and loves to write as well, I should be pretty equipped with words and familiar with a wide majority of them, right? Right! And I must say that for the most part, I am. However, I discovered earlier this week that being a country bumpkin doesn’t help when in the process of expanding one’s vocabulary.
TO THE POINT! The word? Affidavit. Now, this is a word that I have heard many times over, yet I’ve never really known the correct spelling for it. Well, apparently, I never knew the correct pronunciation either. All this time, I thought people were saying (get ready!)… Alfred David. I thought it was kind of like Benedict Arnold. Luckily, I’ve never actually used the word in conversation and even if I had, I don’t think anyone would have picked up on it (it would all sort of run together).
So this is how I learned of the actual spelling/pronunciation of “affidavit”. I was reading an article to my family when I stumbled over that word. My mom and dad sort of stared at me out of what I made out to be as shock and amusement that I apparently didn’t know the word. Sure, I felt like an idiot but it was my fam, which made it hilarious. Then I decided to tell everyone! LOL! I don’t know how to just keep dumb Duh! Moments to myself.

It’s weird because I named so many things, yet I’m sure I’m leaving out a ton. What about all of the toys that we had to play with and the funny little sayings we used to, and for me, still use.

Ok, so I made this one night when I really ran out of things to do. I figured I’d just mess around with my webcam until I became sleepy. Well, here is the result of boredom at 5 AM.

I find it really sad that TRL is coming to an end. I don’t think they understand that once TRL leaves, there will be NO MORE VIDEOS ON MTV! Or maybe they do understand… Maybe that’s the real reason. They’re trying to do away with videos altogether. I don’t know. But, it’s called Music Television. The only music they have on there is the theme song for reality shows (oh, and the music during the show). Don’t get me wrong, I love reality TV but at some point it becomes too much. MTV has completely passed that point!
Another reason that I’m upset about TRL ending is because I had always hoped they would rekindle the TRL Tour. They never even finished the first one thanks to the terrorist attacks in 2001. I forget where the last show was but I believe it was out west. I doubt if they’d be able to finish it considering it consisted of 3LW, Dream, Jessica Simpson, Eve, Nelly (and the St. Lunatics), and Destiny’s Child. Most of those are groups that aren’t together anymore. I still had some kind of hope that they’d do another one and I’d be able to go this time and not just happen to be in Atlanta the same night as their show (we ran out in the street and performed all of the songs we knew by the performers instead).
Anyway, nothing that I say is going to stop this from ending but I really am sad to see it go. OH NO!!!!!!!! What about New Years Eve???
OK… so Jay (my best friend) just reminded me about F’N MTV. Whoodie doo!

This is the choice that I made when I was 12 years old. That’s right! I made the choice. No one forced me to do this and no one is necessarily holding me to it. Of course people are proud of me and do hope that I follow through, but they’re not holding a gun to my head. So, I’m proud of my choice!

It has been confirmed that body of the 7 year old that was found earlier is indeed Julian King (son & nephew of Julia and Jennifer Hudson, survivors of Darnell Donerson and Jason Hudson).
Know what I think? I’ll tell you what I think. I think that’s doggon’ a shame. Thank GOD those two have each other (Jennifer and Julia) because I couldn’t imagine having to go through this alone. I mean, there’s other family that can mourn with you but it’s not like someone who is basically going through the exact same thing and hurting the exact same pain. I’m seriously running out of words for this situation. It’s so ridiculous. That boy was 7 years old!!!! In his 7 years, there was nothing he has done that was so terrible that could’ve taken his innocense away. He still had his. How can you take the life of innocense? This really boggles my brain. I mean, what reason could you possibly have to do something like this to so many people? Not just the victims, but the survivors. That’s some bull and I’m sick of hearing about stuff like this. Someone needs to set up a stand where they hand out a heart, a bag of logic, and some common sense. I’m really praying for them. :\
