WEEKEND JOURNAL (NOV. 7-NOV.9.08)

Yo and Hello, Journal! Well, It’s about that time for me to let you know what my weekend was like again. It comes around so quickly, doesn’t it? Friday was pretty normal. My little cousin had to sing at a Veteran’s Day program at her church, so I had to pick her up from there instead of from school. When we got back to the house, we were straight KNOCKED OUT! And she slept so strangely. I woke up mid-way and saw her, and she really scared me. I had to make sure the girl was still breathing (was). Later, my mom called and told us to meet her in town to get some supplies for my cousin’s school project that she was helping her with. We went to Hobby Lobby (which is definitely one of my favorite stores EVER) and I nearly lost my mind in there. I want to start on a new quilt so badly! I need to finish my other two first, though. And there are a million other projects that I want to do, but I have so much going on that I would hate to start (I’d never be able to finish). I’ve decided that I’m going to solely focus on my writing for awhile until I get caught up. Hopefully, I’ll catch up soon because I want to go back to Hobby Lobby! J Anyway, she had to make a vest for school and, I must say, it’s turning out to be really cute. My mom always make sure that if she helps on it, it’ll be “A” material. Gotta love her! That’s pretty much all of Friday. Oh! But Idiot Boy and Dad did bring us back two funnel cakes and candy apples when they came home. Yummy for my tummy!

SATURDAY! Ha! You see how I said it in all caps, right? Well, it’s just to fool you because not at all happened on Saturday. LOL! The only thing that I can really recall is that I realized my foot had swollen from where I’d run into a heater the night before (HAHA!). It was hard to walk on it for a little while but it’s getting better. J So, I was just like my granddaddy who was having problems with his foot as well. =/

Sunday came and Sunday went. I didn’t get to go to church. When I woke up the first time, my clock read “8:15 AM”. Five minutes later, it said “10:40″. Not sure where the time went, but it really got away from me. So, obviously, I wasn’t able to go to church. For dinner, we had Chinese food. It was so good! And for dessert, we had funnel cakes and candy apples from the annual fair. YAY! So, that’s my weekend journal. I know it sounds kind of boring, but coming from a person who tries to make every moment fun and exciting (and worth something), it was pretty cool. J Spent a lot of time with my family, too, which is always a really great thing!

WEEKEND thru MID-WEEK JOURNAL (OCT. 31-NOV.05.08)
This past weekend was pretty OK. I’ll start with Friday which was also Halloween. Not a whole lot happened, but it was still good to me. A friend brought pizza over for us and it was good (the Pizza Mia from Pizza Hut). Once she left, I showered and stayed up really late watching TV. In the morning (Saturday), I had to go help my mom at a yard sale. She left earlier than I did. When I got there, it was still pretty cold and I kept looking for reasons to go inside. Mom decided that we should have doughnuts, and there was no way that I could disagree with that. THE HOT SIGN WAS ON! Those were some good doughnuts. Sure, we had to share, but the 5 that I did get to eat were delish! Ha! We stayed at the yard sale (it was at her friend’s house, BTW) until about 3 or 4. We would have left earlier, but on of my schoolmates came up and we talked to him and his family for a good little while. It was pretty cool seeing him and catching up. Saturday evening, I was supposed to go to a play but I was dead-dog tired. Obviously, I stayed home. Sunday, I went to church. The pastor delivered a really good sermon and nearly the whole while he was talking, I kept thinking about “Little House On The Prairie: Christmas at Plum Creek”. :) That was pretty much all of my Sunday, so moving right along…
Monday came and went as any other day. Tuesday, however, was entirely different. I went to vote around 10 AM, and people could tell that I was a first-timer. My eyes were huge (there’s a shocker) and the look of excitement on my face looked like I’d just walked into the world’s largest Build-A-Bear Workshop!  It was my first time ever being able to vote in a presidential election and guess what! I got it right! Barack Obama is now the 44th president of the United States of America, and he just so happens to look just like me. Mr. President! Mr. Commander In Chief! I was so excited. It was truly a moving experience and I’m so happy to have it as a story to tell. The first time that I voted, and this is what it did. GOD is so amazing!
I also went to work on Tuesday. Now it’s Wednesday, and it feels like a repeat of Monday. I should have been catching up on some “worky-stuff” since I was off, but of course I decided to lag around. I have two to four more free days so hopefully I’ll get a lot of “worky-stuff” done. I was also able to locate Baby’s kittens. She only had three. I got to meet the third one before he wandered away. They are so adorable. And Demon’s pups are getting to be soooo big! They love when I go out there to play with them. The biggest one tries to be all protective, but he’s a softie (literally! They’re so fat).

Later Days!

WEEKEND JOURNAL (OCT. 24-OCT.26.08)

So, I’ve had a bit of a long weekend. Let’s start with Friday. My mom was off work which was great! We were supposed to go clean up Grandma’s house but her “guest” came early so we stayed home all day. We were in our PJ’s practically the entire day, and why wouldn’t we be? It was raining lions and wolves outside! My mom figured that God was telling her to rest because he gave her the perfect rainfall. There was no lightning and no thunder… just rain. And what a wonderful nap we had! I did have to leave the house to go pick up my cousin from school. After she left, we decided we should clean up. My mom started fussing at me about something or another. I have vowed not to argue back anymore so I stood there at the kitchen sink biting the crap out of my tongue (i tasted blood). When she seemed to have stopped, I popped in my headphones and listened to the “Hairspray” soundtrack. Musicals always make me happy! :) By the time we’d finished cleaning, I was OK. I started getting dressed to leave while my mom talked my cellphone battery nearly to death (as she texted on her phone). Before I knew it, it was time for me to go see “High School Musical 3: Senior Year”. I’m surprised I didn’t run off the road from the excitement! That movie is soooooo great! I can’t wait to get the soundtrack and the DVD (i could get the soundtrack now but my brother’s birthday is coming up). It was still raining when I left and my friend texted me saying that Jennifer Hudson’s mom and brother had been shot to death. I didn’t believe her so I didn’t text back. I did check online, as my mom checked on the CNN interactive thing on TV and we found out that it was indeed true. That seriously broke my heart. I have a mom and I have a brother and I know that if anything like that were to happen to them, my world would nearly end. Well, they still haven’t found her nephew (7 yo), which is terrible, but I pray they do soon. My mom was feeling so terrible about it, she had to watch “Smart Guy” to get her mind off of it. She sent me off to go get dinner and my brother rode with me. That was pretty much the end of my Friday (which was also Age’s birthday!).

Sunday was a lot better than Saturday. I didn’t go to regular church service because I knew we had Pastor Appreciation that evening. My mom and I stayed home and slept most of the day away. Then, I went off to get some Dunkaroos (one of our favorite snacks) and a pizza. Before I knew it, it was time to get ready to go to church. Mom was outside in her truck getting ready to go to my brother’s house. All of a sudden, Dad called me outside because one of my kittens was in her truck! I found this to be quite hilarious because she was so shaken by it. Apparently, he jumped in when I got out earlier. Ha! She said she almost forgot to put the car in park, she was so scared. I’m laughing now just thinking about it! Anyway, I went on up to the church after finding my wallet (oh yeah, it was lost). Jay met me up there and we sat with my bro. We stayed until about 7:45 and went to the movies to see HSM3 (Jay’s first time seeing it). I tried so hard to refrain from singing but I was so proud of myself for remembering quite a few of the words for songs that weren’t released on Disney Channel. YAY ME! LOL! Plus, “Scream” is my ringtone. :) Anyway, it’s even better the second time. I cried again. When everyone had left out of the theater and “The Boys Are Back” was playing during the credits, I started running around and jumping on seats and stuff, trying to be like Chad and Troy. LOL! I think I did pretty good! They SO should’ve had me as an extra dancer. Ha! Anyway, that was Sunday and I enjoyed it very much. :)
Next weekend will be even better!

Saturday was pretty boring. Honestly, I barely remember it. I’d fallen asleep in the living room on Friday night after watching an episode of “Half & Half”. I was sleeping on my couch (the love seat) and I woke up because I felt something in my ear. When I opened my eyes, I saw my mom’s face probably 3 inches away from mine. I screamed for my life! That was NOT funny! OK, maybe a little (lot). She told me that Dad had told her he wanted IHOP this morning, so she was going to cook and wanted me to make a menu for IHOPped Out Of Bed To Make You Breakfast. It was really cute, the whole thing. He enjoyed it. My stomach had been feeling weird all morning and I after I cleaned up, I went to lie down. I slept for so long!! That was my Saturday.

 Later Days!
